Product represents the pinnacle of technology and/or performance in its particular price range or market sector.
9.0 to 9.5 Great
Product excels at its purpose and is in the top flight compared with immediate competition. Must have impressed the author to achieve this rating.
8.0 to 9.0 Good
Solid product that both does a good job at what it does and is better than some of its competitors.
7.0 to 8.0 Average
Just another keyboard. Just another mouse. Nothing spectacular to report. Product does a good job at what it does. Brings nothing new to the table. Worth the money, but maybe not the best you can get.
6.0 to 7.0 Disappointing
For a product that did not perform as well as expected when expectations were drawn from hype or reasonable speculation. Also for products that don’t quite fall into the ‘Average’ category.
4.0 to 6.0 Poor
This section is reserved for a product that performs much worse and costs significantly more than its competition.
0 to 4.0 Lousy
Product demonstrates very little relevance to the hardware scene. This particular product might not work, and if it does its capabilities are limited and less than advertised.
