CeBIT 2008 continues to dominate the headlines as eager manufacturers continue to try and get the word out on their new stuff. Practically all of the products this week are minor revisions to existing technology or incremental upgrades. The only real hardware news came from our very own Thomas Gribble earlier this week as he commented on the hard push of Foxconn to debut new hardcore enthusiast products. Foxconn has steadily built up momentum over the years with the gaming community as a former KODE5 tournament sponsor, and has recently hired new senior executives for its motherboard division in an attempt to become the second largest motherboard brand within the next three years. ASUS annually ships over 20 million motherboards so expect more Foxconn PR assaults to come. Who knows, maybe even a review or two.
