Download profiles from your favorite Warcraft and Counter-Strike eSports players.
SteelSeries today will be announcing a new feature for their Ikari Laser and Optical mice. Now with little more than a couple of clicks and download, you can use the exact same mouse settings as your favorite gamers- macros and all.
Thanks to the unique profile saving system found on the Ikari and SteelSeries’ close working relationship with dozens of professional gamers, the mouse profiles of top Warcraft 3 and Counter-Strike players have been made available for download from the company’s website. By downloading these profiles for your Ikari, not only do you inherit th CPI settings of your favorite professional gamer, you also experience what it is like to use their re-mapped buttons. Have you seen Manuel "4Kings|Grubby" Schenkhuizen use some wacky mouse configuration that you really wanted to try out? Maybe you saw Abdisamad "SK|SpawN" Mohamed using his mouse to do some crazy stuff in-game and were envious of his settings. Well, with this new feature, all of this is just a few clicks away.
Available player profiles include:
- Olav "4Kings | Creopholus" Undheim
- Manuel "4Kings | Grubby" Schenkhuizen
- Abdisamad "SK | SpawN" Mohamed
- Robert "SK | RobbaN" Dahlström
- Kristoffer "SK | Tentpole" Nordlund
- Jimmy "SK | allen" Allén
- Dennis "SK | walle" Wallenberg
- Wiktor "PGS | TaZ" Wojtas
- Jakub "PGS | Kuben" Gurczyński
- Łukasz "PGS | Luq" Wnek
- Mariusz "PGS | Loord" Cybulski
- Filip "PGS | Neo" Kubski
- Christian "GG | Paddy" Parbo Juhl
- Jonas "GG | whimp" Svendsen
- Mike "GG | spx" Lutzhoeft
- Martin "GG | zone" Mandix Eilertsen
- Andreas "GG | KK" Andreassen
Many of these profiles have yet to be fleshed out with all of the info for each player, but they should be complete very soon. Hopefully there will be more player profiles on the site from well-known American teams like 3D.NY and LA CompLexity before long. Regardless, this is a tremendous feature and offers members of the eSports community a chance to play with "pro" settings.
The Ikari mouse from SteelSeries is available in both Optical and Laser flavors. The mouse features programmable macro buttons with a driverless plug-and-play functionality, 40,000 samples per second (SPS), CPI settings from 1-3,200 which can be changed in increments of 1, a built-in LCD display on the bottom of the mouse that displays CPI setting, and a chassis material and shape based on input from many well-known professional gamers. The mouse is available from the SteelSeries site for $89.99 and $59.99 USD for the Laser and Optical versions, respectively.
