While it still seems odd to a lot of people that professional gamers endorse computer parts, the practice is becoming more and more common as the eSports industry progresses. Obviously the biggest and brightest posterchild of eSports is none other than Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel. Last seen as a commentator for the Championship Gaming Series, Fatal1ty’s famous mug can be found plastered on the packaging of a wide range of products; from gaming peripherals and sound cards from Creative, to motherboards and video cards from Abit and XFX. We have never been the biggest fans of Fatal1ty branded products, but the Zalman coolers bearing his namesake are pretty good and some of the X-Fi SKUs on the market these days are looking pretty attractive.

Now, gaming’s most famous face has been picked up by another suitor, OCZ Technology. We have been reviewing OCZ products for a long time now. Since our reviews have been pretty much all positive, it stands to reason that future products with the Fatal1ty branding from the company will also be superb. It is likely that the Fatal1ty name will appear on high-performance gaming memory, though OCZ has not announced their plans for the dude’s name just yet.

We are also expecting a line of gaming peripherals to emerge from the company in the near future to supplement their long awaited NIA (Neural Impulse Actuator) input device. We will try to provide you with more information on this as it becomes available.
