Via NGOHQ: “Microsoft Corporation has officialy released Service Pack 3 Release
Candicate 1 for Windows XP for the entire public. Windows XP SP3 RC1 is
a rollup that includes all previously released updates for Windows XP,
including security updates, out-of-band releases, and hotfixes. It
contains a small number of new updates, but should not significantly
change the Windows XP experience.“
If you’re feeling nifty you might want to give this a shot to see if your performance gets a boost. Otherwise steer clear if you’re on a system critical machine. By that I mean you can’t afford to lose your science project paper.
