With the great success of the Eee PC it should almost come as no surprise, ASUS is moving all in on the PC front.–
Not ones to sit on their hands after the success that has been the Eee PC; ASUS is readying even more computer systems and branching out from just being a hardware component maker.
According to the Inq there are three models on the horizon from Asus.
ASUS Ares Gaming PC
-Carbon fiber case, customized G9, new model of keyboard
ASUS Essentio PC and monitor
-home theater, BD-ROM, monitor w/ speakers and webcam
G70 gaming notebook
-17″ screen, dual 8700GS
An interesting move on ASUS’s part. The market is flooded with all sorts of OEM machines, and from various vendors. To really make an impact here they are going to need something truely unique or priced accordingly. That is exactly what the Eee PC offered and they have set the bar quite high when it comes to unique at a great price point. I have a feeling these wont be nearly the success the Eee is. Make sure you heard over to the Inq and read the full scoop on these upcoming machines.
