Set atop an unlikely oasis of greenery in the otherwise arid and industrial regions of Southern California is a mass of cutting edge technology and overclocking icons from around the country. The Gigabyte Invitational Overclocking Tournament kicks off today at the Pacific Palms conference resort in Industry Hills, CA.
Gigabyte has pulled in the top overclockers from around the country, including the likes of k|ngp|n and the guys from Iron Mods. The guys will be using many different overclocking methods, including phase change, liquid nitrogen, and even good old fashion water. Everybody will be using identical hardware and reporting results for various testing applications throughout the day. The winner when the dust settles will be holding a free airline ticket to Taiwan for the world finals of Gigabyte’s Invitational in September. Specs and such are listed below. Be sure to check in throughout the day for updates and tons of pictures.
